2024 F1 Season Car Launches

1- REDBULL

Having secured both the Drivers' and Constructors' Championships in the last two seasons, Red Bull unveiled their new F1 car, the RB20, at a launch event yesterday. As expected, the RB20's appearance remains largely unchanged from last year, except for some sponsor updates. There are technical differences compared to last year's car.

2- MERCEDES

Mercedes unveiled the covers of their new F1 car, the W15! Following the unveiling event at Silverstone on Wednesday, the German team took the W15 out on track for the first time, with both George Russell and Lewis Hamilton conducting a 15-kilometer demo drive under rainy conditions at Silverstone. After disappointing seasons, the W15 carries significant importance for Mercedes. While the car's color scheme remains predominantly black as seen last year, Mercedes' iconic silver color has made a return.

3- FERRARI

Ferrari introduced their new SF-24 car for the 2024 Formula 1 season at Fiorano. The SF-24, to be driven by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, underwent a 15 km test at Fiorano to gather initial data on the car's systems. The first comprehensive test will also be held at Fiorano and will last 200 km. The launch revealed the SF-24 to be more innovative with changes in its color scheme, predominantly retaining red with white and yellow accents.

4- McLaren

McLaren reached another milestone by presenting their new MCL38 car at its launch. Lando Norris mentioned that McLaren didn't want to reveal too many details about the new car as Formula 1 is a "game of performance." Unlike previous years, McLaren held a more subdued launch event, unveiling the car through a series of photos on their website, choosing to keep the car's details under wraps. The team previously announced a new color scheme featuring primarily black and orange.

5- ASTON MARTIN

Aston Martin took their new AMR24 out on track for the first time at Silverstone as part of a shakedown event. Lance Stroll tested the new car amidst intermittent wet and cold conditions at Silverstone. Following the first test with demo tires from Pirelli, Performance Director Tom McCullough expressed positivity about the AMR24. Technical Director Dan Fallows highlighted significant changes made throughout the car, evolving from last year's AMR23.

6- ALPINE

Continuing with their predominantly blue car in most races of the 24-race season, Alpine will race with an expanded pink livery in eight races at the behest of main sponsor BWT. The team states that the A524 is a completely new concept created for the next two seasons, featuring innovative solutions learned from previous versions. The Signatech-run team includes young and experienced drivers like Charles Milesi and newcomers Ferdinand Habsburg and Paul-Loup Chatin in car number 35, while car number 36 features the highly anticipated Mick Schumacher alongside experienced drivers Nicolas Lapierre and Matthieu Vaxivière.

7- WILLIAMS

Williams Williams unveiled a new look for their 2024 Formula 1 car at a launch event in New York. The slightly revised appearance made its debut at a 'season launch' event on February 5, featuring new sponsor Komatsu, a Japanese construction, mining, and utility equipment manufacturer. However, the actual FW46 car will not debut until February 20 in Bahrain for testing.

8- Visa Cash App RB Honda

Visa Cash App RB released photos of the VCARB 01, to be driven by Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda. Formerly known as Toro Rosso and AlphaTauri, the team rebranded at an event on February 8, opting for Las Vegas to unveil the new car. VCARB 01 is the first car produced under the new name of Visa Cash App RB by Red Bull's second team, featuring colors similar to those used during the Toro Rosso era. The car predominantly features blue with significant sections in black. Technically, it builds upon the magnificent Red Bull RB19, with components transferred from Milton Keynes to VCARB 01.

9- KICK SAUBER

Formerly known as the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team, Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber will race under this name for the next two seasons, with the chassis name Kick Sauber. Leveraging the support of Stake, Sauber created a new identity bridging the gap between the Alfa Romeo and Audi eras. The new identity transitions to a fluorescent green and black color scheme. The striking new look of the C44 was unveiled at a major launch event in London. Sauber previously used the C37 name in 2018, later relinquishing the name to Alfa Romeo. Skipping the years in between, they adopted the C44 name for the 2024 F1 car. The new car is the first developed with contributions from Technical Director James Key, focusing primarily on creating an aero advantage with a pull rod front suspension configuration. The C44 will be driven by Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu on Friday in Barcelona, before the official F1 test in Bahrain from February 21-23.

10- HAAS

Haas unveiled their new VF-24 car for the 2024 Formula 1 season. Choosing Silverstone in the UK for the first 200 km test, the American team released only a short video of their first outing on track. Compared to last year's VF-23, Haas preferred to keep the color scheme of black, white, and red unchanged. Haas parted ways with team principal Günther Steiner during the winter break, with engineering team head Ayao Komatsu taking his place. Komatsu stated, "We are realistic about our expectations for the VF-24's initial performance." He added, "Unveiling the color scheme is always exciting in each F1 season."
