A New Leader on Turkish Roads: BYD Seal U DM-i


In the automotive world, the eagerly awaited moment has arrived. The world's largest electric car manufacturer, BYD, officially entered Turkey in recent months. The company had been operating in Turkey with only the Atto 3 model, but had plans to introduce new cars . Chinese automotive giant BYD showcased its new model, the BYD Seal U DM-i, at the Geneva Motor Show. This ambitious car, which will first be launched in Turkey before Europe, draws attention with its PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Car ) technology. The BYD Seal U DM-i is a design marvel that brings the future to today, offering excellent performance both in city driving and on long journeys. What does BYD SEAL U offer?


The model currently sold in China as the BYD Song Plus measures 4785 mm in length, 1890 mm in width, 1668 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2765 mm. With its flat floor design, the BYD SEAL U offers ample legroom for rear passengers, and enhances practicality with rear seats that fold in a 60:40 split, providing a luggage capacity ranging from 552 to 1440 liters. One of the most striking features of the Seal U DM-i is its intelligent dual-motor technology, which combines high performance with a comfortable driving experience, while also delivering an eco-friendly ride. Its spacious and comfortable interior further enhances the enjoyment of journeys.



           


The %100 electric version of the car is also noteworthy. Equipped with LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery options, this version features a permanent magnet synchronous motor generating 160 kW of power and 330 Nm of torque in the front-wheel-drive model. Offering an electric range of up to 110 kilometers in city driving, this version promises an eco-friendly driving experience. The BYD Seal U DM-i not only emphasizes eco-friendliness but also delivers dynamic performance. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.1 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 170 km/h. Additionally, it offers economical driving with a fuel consumption average of 0.9 liters per 100 kilometers according to WLTP standards.

Launching in Turkey in the second quarter of 2024, the BYD Seal U DM-i will be an ideal choice for those looking to experience future car technology today.
