MATADORE'S TOP 3 ELECTRIC CARS
03 Renault Megane E-Tech
Renault Megane, a popular model in our country for many years, has been electrified to embrace the trends of the future. Renault, a leading automotive brand in the development of electric vehicles, previously achieved great success with its 100% electric models, ZOE and Fluence. Now, it aims to continue this success with the long-standing, best-selling Megane model. The new Megane, with its modern appearance and technology, has been praised by everyone. The 160 kW version of the Megane E-Tech features a 60 kWh battery capacity. Its performance is impressive, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 160 km/h. The battery capacity of the new Megane E-Tech provides a long range, while fast-charging support saves time and makes charging convenient. The Megane E-Tech is 100% electric and boasts a sporty DNA. Its agile and sharp steering system, dynamic chassis, and low center of gravity offer an exciting and enjoyable driving experience. With control commands located around the steering wheel, you can keep your eyes on the road and fully enjoy the drive. The newly developed platform hosts a 60 kWh slim battery providing a driving range of up to 450 km according to WLTP(1) and a compact electric motor delivering 160 kW (220 hp) of power.

(1) WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure): This new protocol achieves results very close to those observed under real-life usage conditions, compared to the NEDC protocol. These values may vary depending on driving style, usage conditions, road conditions, equipment, vehicle load, etc.
02 Tesla Model 3
The Tesla Model 3 is one of the company's most popular vehicle models. Launched in 2017, the Model 3 appeals to a wide customer base due to its affordability. It stands out for its high performance, eco-friendly design, and advanced technology. By 2021, the Tesla Model 3 achieved a maximum range of 614 km. Adjustments made to the car also provided advanced aerodynamics, extending the standard range to 318 miles and the Long Range variant to 390 miles, with an official WLTP consumption of 4.7 and 4.4 mi/kWh respectively. The 0-62 mph performanceremains the same at 6.1 and 4.4 seconds, while the top speed is fixed at 125 mph. These figures are impressive and far beyond what most competitors can achieve, with the extra miles being a welcome addition.
Of course, electric cars are about more than just performance specs. Range and battery life are also crucial. Alongside the exhilarating speed of the Tesla Model 3, it boasts an excellent range that allows for long-distance travel without frequent recharging. The Long Range option nearly triples the average range available in the market. Additionally, the Supercharger stations being built by Tesla in Türkiye will provide easy and fast charging, allowing drivers to quickly recharge their Model 3 batteries and continue their journeys without long breaks. Furthermore, the Model 3's regenerative braking system captures energy during deceleration and braking, using it to recharge the battery. This maximizes range and reduces wear on the physical brakes, increasing efficiency.
01 Porsche Taycan
Since its launch in 2020, the Porsche Taycan has made a significant impact in the world of electric vehicles. By 2023, the Taycan was updated, reaching nearly 100,000 sales and adding the Sports Turismo and Cross Turismo models to its lineup. Porsche offers two versions of the Taycan: Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. Both versions boast impressive technical specifications. Each vehicle features two lithium-ion electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear, making it all-wheel drive. The use of copper in the motor cooling components significantly reduces the weight of the motors. Both Taycan models have a standard power output of 460 kW or 616 hp. However, both vehicles also feature an overboost mode for rapid acceleration. In this mode, the Taycan Turbo can reach 670 hp, while the Taycan Turbo S can reach 750 hp. The maximum launch control torque is 850 Nm for the Taycan Turbo and 1,050 Nm for the Turbo S. The Taycan Turbo accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has a range of 450 km, while the Taycan Turbo S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and has a range of 412 km. One of Taycan's standout features is its 800-volt system, making it the first fully electric sports car to use this system instead of the conventional 400-volt level found in electric vehicles. This feature allows the battery to be charged up to 100 km of range in just 5 minutes (according to WLTP). The estimated time to charge the battery from 5% to 80% is about 22.5 minutes, with a maximum charging power of 270 kW.

The Taycan combines Porsche's modern and traditional DNA in its visual design and offers a leather-free interior for the first time. The interior, made from innovative recycled materials, is designed according to the sustainable electric sports car concept. The electric Porsche Taycan represents an extraordinary fusion of Porsche's renowned performance tradition with cutting-edge electromobility. With its striking design, luxurious interior, and thrilling performance, the Taycan is a prime example of how an electric car can be both exciting and sustainable. As Porsche moves away from traditional gasoline cars, it continues to develop models that lead the way in electric driving experiences and high-performance sports cars.
